What we do

Our club was set up to afford training facilities for all breeds of dogs. We offer a range of classes to suit all abilities of both dog and owner.

Puppy classes are very popular, and are often booked up a few weeks in advance.

The intermediate class is the precursor to The Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Award Scheme. All our classes are designed for you to learn how to teach your dog to behave (in the human world) and to have fun doing it. For this reason we use the positive reward method of training, and will not have choke collars, slip chains or extending leads in the class.

The Kennel Club’s Good Citizen Award Scheme is based around the idea that dogs need to live by human rules (i.e. walk to heel, sit, come when called etc). The courses vary in difficulty, and we encourage you to complete as many as you feel is useful for you. As it is unlikely that you’ll pass each test in 6 weeks (the length of the course), you will probably need to redo the course a few times.

If you are a first timer, please leave your dog behind and come and watch us one night. This will give you a chance to see how we train, ask questions and book onto the right course for you.
